Celtica: A New Irish Heritage – National New Zealand Tour

Stage tap microphones at the Napier Municipal Theatre, Napier, New Zealand.

From the producers of the hit show Celtic Illusion and Spellbound, the Irish dance production Celtica: A New Irish Heritage are currently on a national tour of New Zealand. Concorde Audio Productions was once again tasked with supplying audio services for the show, this time in a light-weight and flyable package. The turnaround between performances was small, so the system had to be fairly self-contained and consisted of a console, QLab playback package, instrument and stage microphones, and wireless in-ear monitors for the musicians. We also supplied sound-design services in building and preparing all the show content into a bundled playback package, and supplied network oversight and management for the entire show automation system.

With all new music and recorded elements, the soundtrack for this show has been completely overhauled. This in turn meant completely redesigning the playback system to ensure a perfect listening experience for both the performers and audiences each night. The show has limited available tickets remaining and runs until the 6th of September, finishing their tour in Christchurch.
